Chateau de Robernier is located just outside the village of
Cotignac, voted "the most charming village in Provence".
The unspoiled countryside can be enjoyed, just as much as the
glamorous lifestyle of the Cote d´Azur.
The surrounding area is also know for its world wide famous
restaurants and truffels, such as “Chez Bruno”
and the truffle market in nearby Lorgues.
Cotignac:
The sound of water is never far away - there are 18 fountains
located inside this charming village and several waterfalls
are descending from the high rocks.
The queen of France, Anne of Austria, is said to have prayed
for the intercession of Notre Dame de Grâces that she
might bear a son, and 23 years later that son, Louis XIV, came
with his mother to give thanks at the sanctuary in Cotignac.
Stone shrines were set up to guide pilgrims to the sacred places
and can still be seen along the country lanes |
